Amsterdam Light Festival

I collaborated as part of a student team on an interactive light installation for the Amsterdam Light Festival called From Twente with Love.

The project was a collaboration between six students from the DesignLab at the University of Twente, the Twentse Ambassade and artist Randy van Lingen.
The piece represents a wave slamming against the side of the canal, over the sidewalk and covering the visitors of the festival. Visitors can touch the inside of the wave, triggering a beam of love that travels through the wave to the fountain head-sculptures on the back that salute the visitors on boats with kissing hand gestures. The wave lights up with a LED voronoi pattern, pointing out the relation between technology and nature.

I mainly worked on designing and implementing the hardware and software.
